Golega horse fair

The Lusitano horses may be regarded as one of the most popular and loved horse breeds in Portugal. This is because of various factors. The Lusitano horses have very pronounced physical features which are majestic and their physical strength make them eligible for different kinds of activities like equestrian bullfighting which are very significantly associated with the Portuguese culture. The Lusitano horses are descendents of the Iberian horses and their name has a lot of historical significance. This is because the term Lusitano is derived from Lusitania which is the primitive name attributed to Portugal when it was under roman rule.
